Based at Bankhead Avenue, you will work 40 hours per week, 8 hour shifts between 7.30am and 5.30pm.

What might a day in this role look like?

We’re looking for a proactive, organised Planner/Scheduler to help us stay ahead of demand, coordinate our multi-trade teams, and ensure our service delivery remains seamless every step of the way. You’ll be the operational linchpin, co-ordinating reactive and planned maintenance works across multiple sites. From scheduling trades and managing diaries to liaising with tenants and field teams, you’ll ensure every job is delivered on time, with minimal disruption and maximum efficiency. Key responsibilities include:

  • allocate and schedule jobs for multi-trade operatives across property portfolios
  • monitor progress and update schedules in real time using our job management system
  • communicate with clients, tenants, and internal teams to confirm access and resolve issues
  • track KPIs and service level agreements to ensure compliance and performance
  • flag delays, resource gaps, or risks early and propose practical solutions
  • support reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.

What qualifications/skills are required?

  • Experience in property maintenance, facilities management, or housing repairs
  • Strong organisational skills and a cool head under pressure
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Familiarity with scheduling software and mobile workforce platforms
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
  • Able to commute to Edinburgh office base.
