Our Events SIA Security Officers provide a visible reminder that safety is our number one priority for visitors and staff. This means you could be working indoors or outdoors on your feet showing visitors where to go, checking tickets at entry points, monitoring crowds, or managing the car parking facilities. Wherever you are, you will be a helpful and friendly face representing the event. We have a wide range of shifts available.

What might a day in this role look like?

You will be responsible for securing venues, staff and visitors for our customers. This may include: 

  • Carrying out pre and post event safety checks ensuring compliance with safe working procedures
  • Searching visitors at venue entry points
  • Ensuring that no prohibited or restricted items are taken into the secured zones within the venues
  • Monitoring visitor and crowd movement and behaviour to identify potential issues or incidents and taking appropriate action
  • Dealing with visitor or crowd disruptions
  • Securing licensed and hospitality areas.

What qualifications/skills are required?

  • Must be over 18 years old
  • Must hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence
  • Availability to work evenings and/or weekends
  • A friendly, professional, and reliable attitude with a strong focus on great customer service
  • Confident communication skills and a smart, well-presented appearance.
