Multi-skilled cleaner - Edinburgh Airport (Nightshift)

Our Edinburgh site is currently recruiting for a Nightshift Cleaner to join the team to support with aircraft cleaning which can include between turnaround times, deep-cleans, technical cleans both internal/external and de-icing.
As this role is airside, all applicants must be able to provide 5 years' check-able work history and undergo a satisfactory standard disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.

- Night shift 18:30 – 05:00
- 4 nights on 4 nights off
- £14.03 per hour
- Full UK Manual Drivers licence is essential
- Permanent, 35hrs per week
Key Responsibilities:
- To contribute to a culture of engagement, involvement and continuous improvement within the cleaning team
- Support the delivery of all exterior cleaning and additional technical services within the designated time and to the required standard and satisfaction of the customer.
- Restocking of cleaning vehicles and equipment
- Complete full exterior washing of aircraft including wet, dry, hand and tech washes to remove stains, dust, soil, carbon, grease or oil deposit
- Be proficient in cleaning all aspects of the exterior including wings, belly, wheels etc
- Complete additional works including flight deck technical cleans, carpet fittings, and carpet shampooing
- De-icing during the winter periods
- Operating bowser/ground handling equipment and cherry picker/scissor lift around the airport
- Support other teams when required with cleaning interior areas of aircraft including the cabin, galleys and lavatories, and toilet and water service
- Maintain a safe working environment at all times, especially when using equipment and PPE
Skills/Qualities required:
- Ability to work under pressure to schedules and adapt quickly to suit client needs.
- Ability to work shifts, bank holidays and weekends.
- A full manual driving licence recognised by the UK is desirable.
- Good attention to detail to take pride in cleaning standards.
- Previous aircraft cleaning experience would be highly beneficial.
- Valid Passport/ID and right to work in the UK.
- Proof of Address and National Insurance Number.
- 5 years' check-able work history.
- Receipt of a satisfactory standard disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
- Must be willing to undergo relevant training as required.
- Zero tolerance approach to health & safety non-compliance.
- Excellent communication skills.
