Assembly Festival is one of the longest-running and most prestigious of the multi-space venues operating as part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. For more than four decades we have welcomed thousands of artists onto the Assembly stages. Last year we presented around 250 shows across August, and this year Assembly Festival once again brings back the magic to the city and be a part of the 79th Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

What might a day in this role look like?

We’re looking for Press Assistants to support the delivery of press and PR activity across Assembly Festival and Edinburgh Food & Folk Festival. This is a fast-paced, operational role at the heart of the press office, supporting media attendance, coverage tracking and daily communications across the festival.

This role is ideal for someone looking to build experience in press and PR within a live festival environment

The role is based in Edinburgh with contract through July and August 2026 to cover all festival activity across the summer.

What qualifications/skills are required?

Staff are required to be 18+ due to the licensed nature of our sites and have a legal right to work in the UK. No Visas can be offered for these roles.
