• Inspire and support your team to deliver exceptional service every time
• Support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations
• Motivate, and supervise front-of-house staff during service
• Ensure excellent customer service standards are consistently met
• Assist with staff training, scheduling, and performance management
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and compliance
• Handle customer feedback and resolve issues efficiently
• Drive team performance to meet sales and operational targets
• Build strong relationships with internal teams
• Work collaboratively with the bar team and kitchen during busy shifts
• Participate in restaurant events and special functions as needed
• Ensure consistency in product quality, presentation, and guest satisfaction
• Lead by example - hands-on, approachable, and always focused on the guest.

What qualifications/skills are required?

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Assistant Restaurant Manager to support daily operations and help lead our team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in a busy environment, has a passion for hospitality, and is ready to take the next step in their management career.

• Current, legal and unrestricted ability to work in the UK
• Ability to work on-site at Virgin Hotels Edinburgh for every shift
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including on the weekends and holidays
• Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant management role in hospitality
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Passion for Italian cuisine and delivering outstanding guest experiences
• A proactive, positive, and hands-on approach
