Listed building process
If you are planning on carrying out work to your listed building, you may require listed building consent. You can submit a listed building consent application online using the e-Planning service.
Before applying we would recommend you read our listed building and conservation area guidelines.
Please be aware that you may also need to apply for a Building Warrant.
Check if you live in a listed building
Firstly check if your building is listed before applying for listed building consent.
Selling your home
If you are selling your listed building, make sure you have all the consents in place for work that has been carried out as the buying solicitor will want to see evidence of this.
You may have to apply for retrospective listed building consent if you do not have the permissions in place.
