If you can't reach an agreement
The Edinburgh Shared Repairs service helps owners who can't reach agreement for essential repairs to the common areas of their property.

You must be able to show that you have followed the process described in the tenement toolkit. We will consider arranging repairs if
- we have the resources
- the majority of the owners agree for the Council to proceed.
If we do arrange the repairs you can keep trying to reach an agreement with the other owners. There are several points in the process where you can stop and go ahead with the repairs privately instead.
