Funding

If you are in a low-income household living within 20 kilometres (12 miles) of the LEZ, you may be eligible to apply for a grant of up to £3,000. This includes:

  • £2,000 for disposing of vehicles which do not comply with the low emissions standards in authorised disposal centre
  • £500 Travel Better vouchers per adult, up to £1,000 per household to buy  bikes, e-bikes, cargo bikes and public transport tickets.

Free e-Cargo Bike trial

The Council has partnered with Cargo Bike Movement  to help individuals shift to more active and sustainable modes. You can try a range of electric cargo bikes for a free trial period if you live in the Edinburgh area.
