Police Scotland

Police Scotland
Police Scotland school engagement officers will be working with schools and young people across Edinburgh throughout September. This is part of ongoing work with young people to prevent violence before it starts and follows on from an event in June where police officers and Fearless invited over 150 young people from Edinburgh schools to share their views on violence, weapon carrying and keeping their communities safe. The local policing crime prevention team will also have stalls at community workshops and police officers will also be providing local retailers with advice and guidance around the sale of knives. Police Scotland recently outlined their national prevention first approach to violence and knife crime.

Forth Ports

The financial support Forth Ports have given has been used to support the Balisong Theatre production that sheds light on the important issue of knife crime involving younger people and its impact on our communities. Balisong will tour secondary schools in Edinburgh from 15 to 25 September.
