December 2023
- In person information gathering events held at Cameron Toll Shopping Center in December 2023. They were held over 2 days from 10am-7pm and resulted in over 300 comments from the public and locals who live within the area.
- A dedicated Consultation page on the City of Edinburgh Council’s Consultation Hub was created with the same information
- A QR code for the consultation site was created for those in the community to share and use.
- The Council’s various social media platforms were utilized to publicise the consultation site and events.
January 2024
Peripatetic Liberton local events
2 Pop-Up events. The first was over the late afternoon and evening at the estates directly beside the development, Malbet and Carnbee Estate. The second was at Gracemount Square.
March / April 2024
Schools workshop
Schools workshops were held at Gracemount Primary, Gracemount High School, St Catherines Primary and the WP Montessori School. This allowed for the children and young people of the area to also give their opinions, thoughts and ideas for the development and wider area.
May 2024
Co-production workshops
Co-design sessions were held on the 1st & 2nd of May 2024 one in the afternoon and the other in the evening. They consisted of DIF members and other stakeholder groups. The two identical sessions were held with 2 groups per session. Each group focused on topics such as: green/active travel connections, greenspace/play spaces on site, other uses outside of residential and massing using a physical site model.
The outcome and model designs from the Co-Design was shared with the DIF and the themes and other main points collected were discussed.
November 2024
Liberton High School Workshop This allowed for the children and young people of the area to also give their opinions, thoughts and ideas for the development and wider area.
February 2025
Procurement launch to appoint Development Partner.
