Supporting Leith, The Shore and Newhaven businesses

More by the Shore campaign

Following the fire on Princes Street in July, a new campaign will support and promote businesses most affected by the disruption to the tram service - encouraging visitors and residents to visit and spend money in the Leith, Shore and Newhaven areas of the city.

More by the Shore celebrates the businesses, experiences and places that make these areas special. Businesses including restaurants, cafés, bars, shops, attractions, beauty salons, accommodation providers and local customer-facing businesses, can take part in the activities that work best for them.

From special offers or experiences, to featuring in campaign content and reaching new audiences through destination marketing, businesses will benefit from increased promotion.

Lothian Buses and JCDecaux are key partners, with More by the Shore promoted across the city through bus and tram advertising and outdoor digital displays.

The campaign includes three elements:

More by the Shore Specials – 1 October to 8 November

The first phase will showcase the one-of-a-kind dishes, drinks, products and experiences of participating businesses.

Residents and visitors can also enjoy special discounts and offers at a number of businesses.

More by the Shore Sparkles - 14 November to 3 January

This phase will include a festive event and offers, with vouchers and discounts available to both residents and visitors.

Residents and visitors will be able to take advantage of exclusive offers and discounts, including £10 for the price of £5 to spend in a range of participating businesses through an itison deal.

A content series will showcase what the areas have to offer in the evenings - from winter menus and late openings to live music, screenings and creative workshops.

More by the Shore Savings - 4 January to 28 February

Exclusive offers will continue to be available to Edinburgh residents exclusively for the first two months of the new year. This includes itison vouchers available including £5 for a £10 voucher or £7.50 for a £15 voucher.

Content will also be created showcasing the best of the areas after dark.
