Have your say
There are engineering and practical issues to consider, but both options would provide the opportunity to freshen up the local environment. Officers are currently progressing both options for independent road user safety audit and we are keen to hear the view of the community and affected stakeholders.
The Consultation will run from Friday 19 December 2025 to Friday 16 January 2026.
How to have your say
Please read through all the supporting information about issues raised and the proposed improvements first. When you're ready to give us your feedback, you can send us a short email.
Please tell us
- If you support the proposals in general.
- Which option you prefer.
- Any other comments you think we should know about.
Your data
We will only use your comments to help design the space and inform councillors' decisions. We will handle your data according to our data retention schedules as required under GDPR.
What happens next
We are committed to delivering the project as soon as possible. Depending on what the consultation tells us, we hope to create and advertise new traffic orders within the next year. Depending on how the traffic order process goes and other factors, we expect to deliver the project in this financial year 2025/26 or next 2026/27.
Note – we’ll not amend the underlying TRO for the single yellow, single blip and the zig-zag markings will ensure compliance with the zebras.
