The focal point of Macmillan Square will be a new community hub which is currently under construction and expected to complete in 2024.
Developed in partnership with North Edinburgh Arts, the state-of-the-art shared building will accommodate
- early years centre for 185 children
- new library
- additional space for North Edinburgh Arts to ensure that it continues to be at the centre of a creative, connected and inspired community
- 6 flats for social rent.
The hub is a key part of one of the most significant urban regeneration projects in Scotland, tackling poverty and inequality in the area. It will be the flagship building on the new Macmillan Square which will also host up to 150 affordable homes and 13 new retail units.
