The way you can challenge your parking ticket or bus lane charge notice is changing. You can now do this much quicker and easier with our new online services. You will no longer be able to dispute your ticket or charge notice by email. All requests must be put in writing and we cannot accept appeals over the phone. You will need the following details to hand:
- the parking ticket or bus lane charge number
- your vehicle registration.
The simplest way to challenge your ticket or charge notice is online. You can also view photos for parking tickets or a video for charge notices, one day later. You can track your appeals, attach supporting evidence and receive quicker responses from us.

You can complete a challenge form or hand in a letter at the Customer Hub, 249 High Street, Edinburgh, EH1 1YJ.
The Hub's opening hours are
- Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 8.30am to 4.30pm
- Tuesday 9.30am to 4.30pm
- Friday 8.30am to 3.40pm.
We aim to respond within 28 working days and your ticket will be put 'on hold' and no further charges will be added until we reply.
