Essential user permits renewals for 2026
Renewals for Essential User Permits (EUPs) for 2026 should now be complete.
Healthcare workers and carer parking permits
On 25 April 2024 the Transport and Environment committee approved the healthcare workers and carer parking permits report that allows us to begin the process to proceed with changes to the healthcare workers permit, also know as an EUP and to introduce two new permit types for carers - a Professional Carers' Permit and a Personal Carers' Permit.
The legal process to make these changes to our Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) is now underway, with the first stage statutory consultation period completed in December 2025. The public advertisement of this TRO is currently programmed for the summer of 2026.
