Edinburgh's Licensing Board

Edinburgh's Licensing Board is responsible for regulating the sale of alcohol to the public and certain gambling activities, by issuing alcohol licences and betting and gambling permits.

Festival extended hours 2020

Because of the cancellation of the 2020 Edinburgh Festival and Fringe, the Board has decided not to allow seasonal variations during August. 

This means that there will  be no automatic extension of licensed hours during August 2020
