Service update - COVID-19

The Garden Aid service has resumed for the 2020 season. If you are a current customer, you should have received your first few cuts for the year, if not please email Garden Aid. If you have any queries regarding billing for the 2020 season, please email Garden Aid with your full address and invoice number.

Garden Aid offers customers a

  • grass cutting service on a 3 week cycle between March and October
  • hedge trimming service twice a year in June / July and October / November.

Contact the Garden Aid service for more information and how to apply. The application deadline each year is 31 January. Applications for Garden Aid received after this date will be added to a waiting list for the following year.

Eligibility

You are eligible to receive Garden Aid if you are in one of the following categories:

  • Over 60 years old, in Council accommodation and in receipt of housing or Council Tax reduction
  • Have a disability and in receipt of a Personal Independence Payment (mobility) or a Disability Living Allowance (mobility components)
  • Over 80 years old 

In addition, there must be no other able-bodied individual who is 16 years old or over living in the household. 

Customers with a disability and those applying to be exempt from a service VAT charge are required to have their application certified by a GP.
