App update

The lastest version (1.1) of the app was released on 16 June 2026. If you have the app installed, you need to manually update the app via the app store. To do this:

  1. Go to the app store on your mobile device
  2. Search for "Edinburgh Council"
  3. Tap on the The City of Edinburgh Council app
  4. Tap on the blue button to update

Fixes in our latest update:

  • pop-up box about notifications has purple text - fixed and the pop-up box removed.
  • back button not working as expected – fixed.

  • submitting your reports and requests
  • attaching photos and using maps to pinpoint exact locations 
  • view your submitted reports when logged in to myGovScot.

The new app is available for download on both the Google Play and Apple App Store.
