Homeshare Scotland is a new Community Interest Company which has been growing gradually. We match older people in need of company and home help with compatible live-in sharers who are seeking affordable accommodation.
Environment:
Based at We Work in George Street, Edinburgh, you will work in a small team of two, part office based, part visiting prospective elderly clients in and around Edinburgh. Working hours are 21 hours per week with some out of hours work required on occasion (mostly phone calls).
What might a day in this role look like?
As a Homeshare Co-ordinator you will be working from our office introducing potential clients to Homeshare and guiding them through each step of the process. This involves communicating with householders and sharers by telephone, video call, email and sometimes in person at their homes. Other activities include:
- placing new adverts on our website, social media and 3rd party website
- reviewing applications, rating, shortlisting and forwarding to clients
- telephoning clients to guide them through the next steps of the process and to catch up
- home visits to onboard new clients with information, make home description, photos, explain next steps etc
- updating Pipedrive CRM – cloud-based Customer Relationship Management software
- attending networking events to spread the word of Homeshare
- catching up with the director (always available to support and answer questions).
What will I learn?
- Learn standard business practices working alongside the director
- Software - MS Office, Pipedrive CRM, WordPress website portal, social media, customer service
- Soft skills (e.g. communication, teamwork, problem solving, etc)
- We could consider offering SVQ training support.
What qualifications/skills are required?
- Higher / National 5 or equivalent which should include English / Maths
- Warm personality with empathy, understanding of people and enthusiastic
- Organised and professional
- Experience in dealing with clients
- Driving licence preferred but not essential.
