Covenant Fund

The Edinburgh Partnership has an agreement with the armed forces in Edinburgh to help strengthen ties between them and local communities. You can find out more about this agreement on the UK Government website.  This is called the Armed Forces covenant.

Each year there is a £10 million covenant fund available to support the armed forces community under several strands.

Apply for a grant

The 2019/20 local covenant grant fund will award small grants up to £20,000 for projects that

  • create strong local links between the armed forces and civilian communities
  • deliver local services offering financial advice, housing, mental and physical health, employability or social support to the forces community.

Applicants must be 

  • a registered charity
  • a school
  • a local authority
  • a community interest company
  • an armed forces unit.

There are no deadlines, decisions will be made at the end of

  • May
  • August
  • November
  • February.
