The Scottish Parliament election count will take place on Friday 8 May 2026 in the
Highland Hall
Royal Highland Centre
Ingliston.
You will
- receive a minimum gross fee of £164.74
- work 8.30am to approximately 6.30pm
- receive refreshments.
If you are succesful you will receive a letter of appoinment.
You will then be asked to return a reply slip, HMRC and a criminal conviction form.
You will also be asked for your right to work in the UK information.
Before you start
If you're working at one of our polling stations on Thursday 7 May you cannot apply to work at the count on Friday 8 May.
Our free coach service will be available for the count on Friday 8 May.
