Household waste recycling centres are only for residents to dispose of their own household waste and recycling. We don’t accept commercial waste or any waste from businesses.
Other ways to dispose of trade waste
You must ensure you dispose of your waste responsibly through a registered waste operator.
All businesses and traders have a legal duty to manage and dispose of their waste responsibly. Failure to evidence appropriate waste arrangements can result in a fine of up to £10,000. Managing your waste properly makes Edinburgh a more attractive place to live, work and visit. That’s good for business.
Why we made the changes
Accepting trade waste at recycling centres did not cover the running costs and we could not continue to provide this service.
