Therapy, Linking and Counselling (TLC)

A free service for Leith parents with children aged pre-birth to five years. Counselling can help with many reasons such as relationship problems, bereavement, depression, anxiety, phobias, illness or addictions. Counselling helps by talking about how these problems are affecting you now but sometimes it is necessary to discuss past experiences or wider relationships which may have contributed to these present difficulties. Feniks Therapy and counselling for Eastern European adults

A charity which aims to improve the well-being of the Polish and Ukrainian Communities in Edinburgh. Services include one-to-one therapy and counselling in Polish (adults only), and one-to-one and group therapy in Ukrainian (adults only). Services are free of charge, but donations are welcomed for the counselling/therapy service. Clients can self-refer or be referred by NHS and other organisations.

Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre (ERCC) - Still I Am (SIA) Project

Free and confidential long-term emotional and counselling support to women, all members of the trans community and non-binary people, from black and minority ethnic (BME) communities aged 16 years and over, who have had any form of unwanted sexual experience. Individuals can make a self-referral or someone else can make a referral on their behalf.

The Centre for Psychological Therapy (CPT) 

Providing evidence-based psychological therapies for children and young people in the community up to the age of 26 years. The CPT provides support to people experiencing low mood, generalised anxiety, social anxiety, health anxiety, panic, OCD, and trauma symptoms. The service is a charity, and donations are invited for the sessions at the discretion of the individual. Sessions are offered both face to face and online.

First Psychology Community Clinic - Low Cost Counselling 

A low-cost Community Clinic for adults aged 16 years and above who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health distress. The clinic is staffed by trainee counsellors online and will be held on the same day, at the same time each week. You will be asked to set an affordable fee you can pay; this can range between £5 and £25 per session.

North East Systemic Service (NEST) 

The systemic family counselling service offers support to families in North East Edinburgh with building relationships and communication within the family unit and can support with creating positive changes within the home environment. Sessions can be held in the home or at school. There must be a child aged five to 12 years in the family to access this service.
