How to get started

Find out how to get started with Voi e-bikes on their website.

Currently there re 50 e-bikes in the city centre. We will use rider feedback and monitoring to inform our future plans. The scheme will expand across the city over the coming months, with a target of approximately 800 e-bikes for the full scheme.

Our contract with Voi runs from 22 August 2025 for 2 years. We have an option to extend for up to 18 months, which is entirely our decision. The contract will run at no cost to us.

Voi operate street rangers who help to prevent antisocial behaviour such as poor parking. The e-bikes have Global Positioning System tracking which will help to prevent antisocial behaviour and enable geo-fencing technology.

Locations

Voi e-bikes are available to hire in the city centre. Voi utilises geo-fencing technology to create designated operational zones for bike parking and use.

You can check the locations and availability of e-bikes on the Voi website via the Voi app.
