We’re improving the road surface, pedestrian crossings, traffic signals and drainage on Minto Street, Mayfield Gardens and Craigmillar Park.
The work will improve driving and walking conditions and enhance road safety.
Working in stages
Phase one from 5 October 2026 to 25 November 2026 will include all drainage, traffic signal and pedestrian crossing work. Lane closures and temporary traffic lights will be in place as required.
Phase two from 12 January 2027 to 26 February 2027 will include the resurfacing work. Lane and road closures and temporary traffic lights will be in place as required. Signed diversion routes will be in place while any roads are closed.
Our contractor will work Monday to Friday, typically between 7am and 7pm.
Access
- Pedestrians will be able to access the area at all times.
- Restrictions will be in place for vehicles at times during road resurfacing, apart from emergency vehicles which will have access at all times.
- We will use temporary parking restrictions to make sure the work is done safely, with signs showing details of specific restrictions.
