Volunteer in parks and open spaces

Volunteer with us

We work closely with volunteer individuals, local groups, and partner organisations to help care for Edinburgh’s parks and open spaces.

How volunteering can benefit you

Volunteering is a rewarding way to make a positive contribution to your local environment by

  • gaining new skills and experience to improve your employment prospects

  • meeting new friends and be part of a community

  • improving your physical and mental wellbeing

  • helping improve your local community

  • supporting biodiversity and wildlife

  • engaging in meaningful activities and building connections

  • helping Edinburgh's parks and open spaces thrive for future generations.

You can volunteer with us by joining a Friends of Greenspace group or with our partners.

Corporate and group volunteering

We also welcome corporate and community groups who would like to contribute to local projects. This is a great way for organisations to give back to the community while supporting Edinburgh’s parks.
