Road closures and restrictions
Tens of thousands of rugby fans will head to Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium for
- Scotland vs England: Saturday 14 February. Kick off 4.40pm
- Scotland v France: Saturday 7 March. Kick off 2.10pm
We are urging all fans to plan ahead and use public transport.
As well as a series of road closures and traffic restrictions to help manage crowds around the stadium, there is also a significant road closure on Gorgie Road.
Gorgie Road closure
Scottish Water is upgrading the waste water network in Gorgie and the road is fully closed between Robb's Loan and Hutchison Crossway. The map below shows where the road is closed.
Diversions are in place but this will mean more traffic on other routes in the area.
Match day road closures
- Roseburn Street, including the junction with Russell Road will be closed before and after the match.
- After the match the A8 (Corstorphine Road, Roseburn Terrace, West Coates, Haymarket Terrace) from Ellersly Road to Haymarket will be closed, as will the West Approach Road.

More information about closures and access
- Grey shading on the map shows the areas which are resident access only for 3 hours before kick off until 4 hours after. With the exception of the A8 closure times.
- Access to Sainsbury's and the petrol station is from Stevenson Road.
- Public buses will still run along the A8 from the Ellersley Road junction turning into Murrayfield Road.
- Trams will not be affected by the closures.
