Summer reading challenge for children

Story Garden logo

This year the theme for the Summer Reading Challenge is Story Garden inspiring children to feed their imagination over the summer and to enjoy the great outdoors.

We invite children aged 4 to 11 to take up the challenge of reading six books during the summer holidays. Children can register to take part at any of our libraries. You can include library ebooks and audiobooks and we have a special Summer Reading Challenge collection available via Libby. Complete all six books to receive the finisher's medal and certificate!

The Summer Reading Challenge launches on Saturday 28 June and will finish Saturday 30 August.

Story Garden is presented by The Reading Agency and delivered in partnership with Edinburgh Libraries.
