Aims and outcomes
To introduce the planning format used by the Literacy/ Dyslexia Support Team when producing individual literacy support programmes. To introduce a range of literacy strategies for working with individual learners, (following use of the CEC Diagnostic Assessment.)
To enable participants to try some strategies.
Throughout session consider your context – how can the individual strategies and supports be replicated across the learning environment?

The planning format used by the Literacy/ Dyslexia Support Team.
The L/DSTeam individualised lesson.
A range of literacy strategies for use with individual learners.
Further information
Many of the literacy strategies can be used with groups of learners/ in whole class teaching. Resources to accompany course will be made available. The 2 part course 'Understanding and Reporting using the CEC Diagnostic Literacy Assessment' precedes this course and provides more in-depth information on how to undertake the assessment that this literacy programme is produced from.
