Aims and outcomes

To improve the quality of life of all children and young people with Diabetes within Educational settings.

Content

the causes and physical effects of diabetes
school management to help prevent low or high blood sugar
recognising signs and symptoms of low or high blood sugar
storage of medication and emergency procedures

There is no attendance charge for this course. Managers, be aware there are minimum numbers of trained staff required for each establishment detailed in 'The Handbook of Procedures for the Management of Pupils with Health Care Needs within Educational Establishments -
