Muirhouse Library has a temporary home at Edinburgh College, Granton Campus.
The old library building has been demolished to make way for a new culture and learning hub including a new library, early years centre and North Edinburgh Arts.
Regular activities for children and young people
Monday
2 to 4pm, Lego Club, all ages welcome
Friday
2 to 4pm, Wee Crafters, all ages welcome
3 to 4.30pm, Table Top Gaming Group, ages 12 and up
Saturday
11.30 to 3pm Role Playing Club. Ages 12 and up
Monday: 10am to 5pm
Tuesday: 10am to 5pm
Wednesday: 10am to 5pm
Thursday: 10am to 5pm
Friday: 10am to 5pm
Saturday: 10am to 4pm

Visiting Muirhouse Library at Granton College, you can
- browse and borrow books
- return your books
- pick up free period products
- apply for a National Entitlement Card (Bus Pass).
Due to the current temporary location of the library we are unable to offer access to library Wi-Fi, public PCs or printing and scanning.
Music Instrument Library
In partnership with Tinderbox Orchestra, members of Muirhouse Library of all ages can borrow musical instruments for free, just like you borrow a book. We have a wide range of instruments including saxophones, clarinets, flutes, keyboards, guitars, ukuleles, mandolins, violins and cellos.
All our instruments have been donated by our community. If you have an instrument gathering dust, please consider donating it to us.
