Scope
This policy is written to replace the Control of Smoking at Work Policy currently in place in the Council. The scope of this policy is designed to include employees, elected members, visitors, clients, contractors and members of the public. The Council, as an employer, is committed to ensuring, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare of all employees, and others, whilst at work and will ensure that a working environment free from tobacco smoke is maintained in all enclosed Council workplaces.
