The purpose of the policy is to ensure that all adults who are unable to protect themselves because of disability or infirmity get the help and support they need to stay safe. This policy provides a set of principles and definitions in relation to the support and protection of adults. It outlines the Councils duties and powers under the Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007.
