Anyone who organises a collection of money for charity, either in a public place or house to house, needs permission from the Council. A 'public place' means any place to which the public have unrestricted access.

there is no fee for a permit

Additional information

Organisations can collect for no more that 6 days in any one year for street collections & no more that 6 days in any one year for House to House collections. Of the 6 days only one Saturday is permitted in any one year for street collections and only one Saturday is permitted in any one year for House to House
