Track Edinburgh's progress to net zero

We report on Edinburgh's city emissions each year through the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP). CDP is an international non-profit organisation for companies’ and cities’ environmental reporting. It is the largest climate change focused data collection and assessment programme in the world. It breaks down total emissions by activity. Edinburgh’s city emissions are broken down by key sectors. The majority of the city emissions comes from the fuels we use to heat and power our buildings, followed by transport emissions.
