If you have large items at home that you no longer need and are still in good condition, you can have them collected by an organisation listed on Scotland's Re-use Tool.

Before you book

There is a charge for each individual item uplifted. Up to 5 items will be collected per uplift.

If you or a member of your household have Coronavirus symptoms, you should not book an uplift. If you have already booked an appointment, please cancel your booking and re-book once you are fit and well again.

Putting your items out for an uplift

All items must be on the pavement in front of the property by 7am on the day of collection. Waste must not be presented at any other time. Only items specified at the time of booking will be collected.

We’re sorry we can’t offer an assisted collection just now. Staff will not be able to enter any property or building to uplift booked items.

Items we can’t collect

We’re not able to offer uplifts of

  • garden waste
  • items more than 7 feet long
  • rubble
  • building materials
  • pianos
  • storage heaters
  • household wheelie bins
  • car tyres
  • safes
  • barbed wire
  • spot welders
  • gas cylinders
  • garden poles with cement still attached
  • oxygen cylinders
  • cast iron baths
  • asbestos / hazardous waste
  • electric or manual wheelchairs
  • fire extinguishers
  • food or sanitary products
  • car batteries
  • clinical waste
  • liquid waste – for example, oil and paint.

We'll email you to confirm your booking. If you don't receive this please check your bulk or spam email folders as your service provider might direct it there. If you use more than one email address please make sure you check the one you've used to make the booking.
