If you have large items at home that you no longer need and are still in good condition, you can have them collected by an organisation listed on Scotland's Re-use Tool.
Items will be collected by a local organisation and re-used. Find out ways to re-use items.
Before you book an uplift
There is a charge of £5 for each individual item uplifted. Up to 5 items will be collected per uplift. We can only uplift domestic items, not commercial waste.
If you or a member of your household have Coronavirus symptoms, you should not book an uplift. If you have already booked an appointment, please cancel your booking and re-book once you are fit and well again.
Putting your items out for an uplift
You must put all items on the pavement in front of your property by 7am on the day of collection. You must not put them out at any other time. We will only collect the items you specified at the time of booking.

You no longer have to use your mygovscot myaccount to make a booking. However, if you do log in, you will be able to see the history of your requests on your mygovscot myaccount.
We'll email you to confirm your booking. If you don't receive this please check your bulk or spam email folders as your service provider might direct it there. If you use more than one email address please make sure you check the one you used to make the booking.
