Parking Attendant - Social Bite/NSL - 18476

Environment:
Within this role you will be patrolling public streets and car parks, advising the public of where they can park safely and securely, issuing tickets to incorrectly parked vehicles, reporting suspected abandoned vehicles, and dealing with enquiries from the members of the public. We have full time and part time vacancies available, so flexibility is key. As part of Social Bite’s Jobs First programme, applicants should have a background of homelessness or at risk of homelessness.

What might a day in this role look like?
- Your day will be spent, mostly outside, in all weathers, so please consider this before you apply
- You will be dealing with members of the public face to face, so customer service must be something you enjoy, sometimes in difficult situations
- Patrol and enforce contraventions throughout Edinburgh
- High visibility presence to help counter any parking contraventions and issue appropriate Penalty Notices where required.

What qualifications/skills are required?
You must enjoy dealing with people, be friendly, polite, and willing to offer support, advice and assistance to colleagues and customers. PC skills would also be an advantage, as you will be using a hand-held device daily. If you enjoy being outdoors and have great communication skills, we would love to hear from you.
