Sablière is a production and R&D House based in Edinburgh, creating premium 0.0% sparkling cuvées using our own production method, Méthode Sablé™. We combine tea, apples, honey and verjus with advanced process design to build high-quality alcohol-free sparkling drinks from first principles. Our pilot facility manages small-batch production, bottling, packaging and fulfilment for leading hospitality partners.
Environment:
On-site, hands-on role in a small, supportive team at our pilot production facility at Summerhall. You’ll be working in lab, bottling and packaging areas, mostly on your feet with some light lifting. This is a part time position, working 4.75 hours a day 2 days per week.
What might a day in this role look like?
You’ll help keep our pilot production facility running smoothly. The work is structured, hands-on and detail-focused, supporting the full process of how our product is made and prepared for partners. A typical day may include:
- keeping the lab, production and packaging areas clean and well organised
- cleaning, sanitising and resetting equipment before and after use
- preparing materials for production (bottles, closures, labels, ingredients, packaging)
- assisting with bottling, labelling and simple quality checks
- picking, packing and preparing orders for delivery
- assembling boxes and helping coordinate courier collections.
What will I learn?
You’ll gain hands-on experience in a real production environment, including:
- production discipline: cleaning, sanitising and preparing equipment
- workflow and organisation: keeping lab and packaging areas orderly and ready for use
- packaging and fulfilment: bottling, labelling, quality checks and preparing orders
- stock handling: organising bottles, closures and materials.

Where relevant, you may also complete industry-related training, such as food safety or hygiene certification.
What qualifications/skills are required?
- National 4 / National 5 / Higher or equivalent (English and Maths preferred)
- Reliable, punctual and able to follow structured processes
- Comfortable with hands-on, practical tasks
- Good attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Physically able to lift and move boxes
- Curiosity for how things are made and a commitment to working to a high standard
- Integrity and care in how tasks are approached.
