Unique Assembly have presented Edinburgh's Christmas and Hogmanay activations since 2022, and Edinburgh’s Christmas welcomed over 2.8m visitors in 2024 to enjoy a spectacular programme of festive fun in the city.
This year Edinburgh's Christmas will include seven weeks (49-days) of seasonal fun across Edinburgh’s city centre, including Traditional Christmas Markets, Funfair Rides, Big Wheel & Around the World Starflyer, Ice Rink, Santa’s Stories, Polar Ice Bar and more.

Unique Assembly are looking for superstar Bar Team Members and Logistics
Bars are an essential part of the Edinburgh's Christmas experience, between the 15th of November 2025 and 4th of January 2026. As a bar team member, you will be on the front line, serving drinks and making our customers day. This role is vital. Unique Assembly expect hard graft and an ability to work in a team with new people, creating a great working environment conducive to an amazing experience. This role requires you to be flexible and mature. Your focus will be on making drinks, dealing with stock, keeping the bar and venue clean, working with other departments and being friendly to customers.
The roles are varied and quite often fast paced and all based in outdoor locations, so you'll need to layer up!
What might a day in this role look like?
Staff are required to be 18+ due to the licensed nature of our sites, and have a legal right to work in the UK, no Visas are able to be offered for these roles.
This role requires you to be flexible and mature. Your focus will be on making drinks, dealing with stock, keeping the bar and site clean, working with other departments and being friendly to customers. Bar team members may be expected to support the bar logistics operations with seeing in early morning deliveries.
Roles are available in Edinburgh from Mid November until 4th of January 2026 and applicants must have availability over the festive period.
- ensuring the bar is always presented at its best. This includes picking up rubbish, tidying the site
- cash handling and use of contactless payment machines
- serving drinks
- clearing tables
- general cleaning of the venue during opening hours and after closing
- setting up the bars
- clearing and swapping out bins
- to comply with and ensure others comply with Health and Safety and other policies
- attending team meetings, training sessions as appropriate
- helping to unload and manage stock and back of house areas
- to deal with customer complaints quickly, confidently, effectively and appropriately and escalating to management where necessary
- handling stock and assisting with deliveries
- ensuring accurate stock takes are reported to supervisors and management

What qualifications/skills are required?
- customer service in a bar or restaurant
- personal License is of benefit
- cash Handling experience
- electronic Point of Sales system experience
- experience in table service and ordering systems
- knowledge of alcoholic drinks and their perfect serves
- working with the public
- staying focused in a busy, fast and high-pressure environment
- positive, approachable and friendly
Front of House Team Payment:
Roles are paid at £12.60 per hour, paid fortnightly in arrears.
