North St Andrew Street Lane - night shift works
As part of the works for Section 3 of the CCWEL we need to build a speed table at the entrance to North St Andrew Street Lane and carry out service crossings for new traffic lights on St Andrew Square
To minimise disruption to the road network in this area and allow safe access for workers, this will be carried out over 8 nights on nightshift. The dates are 28, 29, 30 November and 1, 5,6,7,8 December.
The night shift work will continue in parallel with the dayshift operations running between 7.30pm and 6.30am. The nightshift work will only be carried out on midweek days. During this time, North St Andrew Lane will be closed to vehicles except for emergency services. There is no direct access to North St Andrews St Lane or Clyde St Lane during the closure times.
Working with you to reduce disruption
Unfortunately, some disruption and noise is inevitable, but we will work to reduce this as much as possible. Our plans have been approved by the Council’s environmental health team and every effort will be made to minimise noise during the night.

During construction, pedestrian and traffic management measures will be installed and maintained to make sure the works can be carried out safely for everyone, including residents, business and our workforce.
