Project update – Section 1
We are continuing to work hard on the CCWEL project with new cycleways, wider pavements and more crossing points starting to take shape throughout the route.
Work is progressing well in this area since we started in late August, with new traffic islands, crossings, and widened pavements. The Murrayfield Gardens junction has been closed for several weeks so we can carry out this work. It will re-open on Monday 17tth October 2022.
The next stage of the works will be at Murrayfield Place to install new drainage, kerbs and resurface pavements. We will close Murrayfield Place to all vehicles on Monday 17th October 2022 for a period of 10 weeks.
A diversion will be available via Murrayfield Avenue, Succoth Gardens, Garscube Terrace and Coltbridge Terrace. The drawing overleaf shows the planned diversion route for the Murrayfield Place closure.
The temporary loading bay in Murrayfield Place will no longer be available, and we are moving it to Roseburn Terrace.
