Work on Grosvenor and Lansdowne Crescents and Palmerston Place area

Works to Grosvenor and Lansdowne Crescents will re-commence in mid-May.

A full road closure at Lansdowne Crescent will be implemented on the 16th May 2022 and the overhanging trees on the Lansdowne seection will be cut back on day one.

The planing and surfacing works at Lansdowne will commence following on from this. Upon completion of the Lansdowne works, a similar road closure will be switched over to the Grosvenor half of the Crescents on 23rd May 2022, where the affected overhanging trees will be cut back first and the planing and surfacing works will follow on from this. Works will continue at the junction between the Crescents and Palmerston Place and on Palmerston Place itself until late July 2022.

Between early June and early July 2022, we will be required to close the junction between the Crescents and Palmerston Place to all vehicles to complete the essential reconfiguration of this area. Footway access will be maintained, and alternative diversions will be signed for local access and egress to the Crescents.

Changes to Parking

In order to complete the works within the Crescents, parking will be suspended area by area as the works progress. We appreciate that this will cause disruption, but it is necessary to ensure we can complete the work safely and efficiently.

Neighbourhood notification with map of where and when construction will take place.
