St Andrew Square to York Place

The project involves construction of new and upgraded walking and cycling facilities to provide an improved east west link into Edinburgh city centre. The scheme comprises three sections.

Section 3 St Andrew Square to York Place

This section features:

• provision of on-road cycleway, segregated from traffic by temporary kerbs
• reduction in the number of lanes northbound on South St David Street from two to one
• cycle-only crossing at George Street
• parallel zebra crossings
• raised table entrances at side roads
• on-road cycle lanes
