Council services

The Council has five main service areas

Chief Executive, Andrew Kerr
Communications, Strategy and Insight, and Safer and Stronger Communities including advice and assistance on welfare rights and criminal justice services.

Communities and Families - Executive Director, Alistair Gaw
Schools and Lifelong Learning, Children's Services and School Estate Planning which covers  libraries and community centres.

Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership - Chief Officer, Rob McCulloch-Graham
Health and Social care including Social Work, provide care for people in their own homes or nursing homes.

Place - Executive Director, Paul Lawrence
City Strategy and Economy, Transport and Planning, Environment, Culture, Housing and Regulatory Services, and localities.

Resources - Executive Director, Hugh Dunn (interim)
Human Resources (HR), Finance and Procurement, Customer, Legal  Audit and Risk, Property and Information Communications Technology (ICT).
