The Chief Executive’s Office includes the Communications, Strategy and Insight and Safer and Stronger Communities Services.
Communities and Families and Interim Chief Social Work Officer - Executive Director, Alistair Gaw
Education and Schools; Early Years; Lifelong Learning; Sports; Libraries and Community Centres; Children's Social Services and School Estate Planning; Community justice, homelessness, including: advice, prevention, and accommodation; family and household support; CCTV; multi-agency public protection, including: child and adult protection; offender management; domestic abuse; asylum seeking and refugee services. In addition, as the Council's interim Chief Social Work Officer, the Executive Director of Communities and Families is responsible for the regulation of registered services, quality assurance of adult and children's social work and governance of the Council's statutory social work functions.
Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership & Edinburgh Integration Joint Board Chief Officer, Judith Proctor
The Health and Social Care partnership for the City of Edinburgh Council and NHS Lothian, through the Integration Joint Board (IJB), includes: Adult Social Work, Older People’s Services, Disability Services, Learning Disabilities, Community and Primary Care health services, and providing care for people in their own homes or in nursing homes.
