Music lessons in school

Instrumental Music Service

City of Edinburgh Music School pupil, Euan McLaughlan, 17, performing at the Scottish Learning Festival 2017.

We provide free instrumental and vocal lessons to pupils from P4 to S6.

Please contact your school for more information.

Schools recruit pupils to music lessons in the autumn term.  If there are spaces pupils can also take up lessons at other points in the year.

Lessons take place in small groups or one to one.  All schools teach different instruments.

Pupils get the chance to perform with central bands, ensembles and orchestras.

We also support SQA candidates towards exams.
