Research and Operations Assistant - Aethernova - 18451

Contract: Permanent, Salary: Real Living Wage (£12.60 per hour) or above, Closing Date: Friday 17 October

Aethernova is an Edinburgh-based startup in Digital Health Technology with global ambitions, developing an innovative XR-AI platform for neurodevelopmental assessment (initially focusing on autism and ADHD). By combining immersive technology with multimodal data, we are creating diagnostic tools that reduce gender, age, and cultural bias, shorten waiting times, enable personalised support, and remain aligned with human-centred values.

What might a day in this role look like?

  • Carry out research and prepare summaries
  • Support the CEO by managing email correspondence and highlighting important information
  • Organise events, meetings, and calendars
  • Assist in drafting R&D proposals and funding applications
  • Undertake email/LinkedIn outreach to potential partners and collaborators.

What qualifications/skills are required?

  • Higher or further education
  • Strong attention to detail, reliable, enthusiastic, and self-motivated
  • Ability to read scientific research papers and extract relevant insights for R&D proposal writing.
  • Confident communicator, both written and verbal
  • Comfortable with learning new digital tools (including AI tools).
