Apply for planning permission

Planning application process

If you are planning on carrying out building work you may require planning permission. Submit a planning application using the e-Planning service.

Before applying please read our planning guidelines.

Read our advice on major developments if you are planning a large development.

Planning Aid Scotland (PAS) also offer a free, impartial and confidential planning advice service, provided by specialist volunteers, all of whom are chartered planners.

Please be aware that you may also need to apply for a Building Warrant.
