Mid market rent are homes for rent to households on low to middle incomes. Rent for mid market homes are generally set lower than private rent but higher than the Council or housing association rent.

Changes to Council mid market rent homes

The Council has formed a new partnership to deliver mid market rent homes in Edinburgh. The new partnership is called Edinburgh Living. Edinburgh Living will provide over 700 new mid market rent homes available to rent over the next four years. 

That means the Council will no longer maintain a list of households interested in mid market rent. All available Edinburgh Living mid market rent homes will be advertised on rightmove. 

If you are interested in renting a mid market rent home, you can create an account on rightmove to receive property alerts. Alternatively you can check the website on a regular basis.

Lowther Homes will let and manage Edinburgh Living mid market rent homes.
