Edinburgh's Responsible Business Framework

OneCity

What will OneCity achieve?

OneCity is about creating a more equal Edinburgh through responsible business actions and active citizenship.

The Lord Provost is driving forward this city-wide initiative to make it easier for business and employees to be involved in responsible business activities. This is supported by the Edinburgh Partnership and Edinburgh’s Social Inclusion Charity, One City Trust. The Responsible  Business  framework is being guided by the business expertise of the OneCity Consortium. For more information on the consortium, please download the Terms of Reference and Members’ Biographies

Responsible business can be:

· Social – have a positive impact on communities, and promote social change.

· Economic – add to the economic development of an area.

· Environmental – improve your local community or reduce the environmental impacts of your business.

How to get involved

Every business in the city, no matter how small or large, or in what field or sector, can get involved. Give a young person an opportunity; support your staff to get involved in volunteering; offer your skills and experience to new start up businesses. Be creative.
